During an interview with The Guardian, the Duffer Brothers have revealed that season 5 will be the biggest in the series. They also said that it will have the vibes of season 1.

“This season – it’s like season one on steroids. It’s the biggest it’s ever been in terms of scale, but it has been really fun, because everyone’s back together in Hawkins: the boys and Eleven interacting more in line with how it was in season one.”

The Stories of Four Characters Will be Done in Season 5

The creators of Stranger Things ended the interview with some intriguing remarks. In a noteworthy revelation, the Duffer Brothers shared that the stories of Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, and Hopper will reach their conclusion in season 5.

“And, yes, there may be spin-offs, but the story of Eleven and Dustin and Lucas and Hopper, their stories are done here. That’s it…”

While this statement carries a high level of intrigue, its interpretation is open to various possibilities. A significant implication could be that these characters won’t be featured in any spin-offs beyond season 5. This aligns with public statements from Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour, who have expressed their desire for Stranger Things to be over so they can focus on other projects.

Another plausible interpretation is that these characters may face a tragic fate in season 5. However, it’s unlikely that the Duffer Brothers would intentionally reveal such a significant spoiler, as it could diminish the suspense and impact of the storyline. It suggests a likelihood that there may not be any further story to tell about these characters after season 5.

This statement implies that characters like Will Byers and Mike Wheeler could potentially be featured in spin-offs. Given that Noah Schnapp hasn’t any other projects apart from Stranger Things, he will likely remain under contract with Netflix. This suggests that his character is expected to survive the events of season 5.

Nevertheless, this statement holds considerable weight, suggesting significant implications for some of your favorite characters and actors. Brace yourself for season 5 as it could be the last time that you will watch Eleven, Hopper, Lucas and Dustin.

The Duffer Brothers also talked about the ending of Stranger Things implying that they will not be affected by fans on social media.

“Endings of shows arelike opening a restaurant in terms of the success-failure rate – there’s an 80% failure rate, I’d say. But I think one very particular way to fail is to attempt to appease everybody. We have a huge variety of fans that span a huge age range and I’m sure they have all their own ideas of how they want the show to end. But we’re not consulting social media on this. Then you just hope and pray that it resonates. But it was funny: once we got there, it just felt right and we’re going to go for it!”

The final season of Stranger Things is expected to arrive in 2025. In the meantime you can watch Stranger Things: The First Shadow which will officially open on December 14, 2023.

sick of shows coming out that we are thrilled to see and we know at some point it will end but then it ends way to quickly. ai understand these actors and actresses wanting to move their careers in a different direction. But what about us fans that made them what they are if not for us watching the show would never have even had this long of a run. So year feels like what we the fans want is nothing to any of the characters or the writers. Boo for ending it with season 5!
