Filming for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is currently underway in Atlanta at full throttle. Though specific plot details remain under wraps, the cast is actively generating excitement for the series' conclusion.
Stranger Things 5 production kicked off in January, and the filming schedule will span a considerable duration before its completion. With this being the final season, expectations are huge, especially given the scale of production. While fans may endure a lengthy wait for the series' conclusion, Millie Bobby Brown has expressed tremendous enthusiasm based on what she has seen so far.
"There's not much I can tease, but I know everybody's super excited. I just think if you've loved the seasons before, you trust the Duffers. They're geniuses, and they'll bring it like no other. And from what I've read, it is unbelievable, and I'm so excited for people to see it."
The ending of season 4 left audiences on the edge of their seats with the dramatic merging of Hawkins and the Upside Down. The pivotal final shot centered on Eleven, hinting at her central role in the upcoming last season. It's highly anticipated that she will play a crucial part in confronting the ultimate villain, Vecna.
Millie Bobby Brown has also shed light on the fate of her character in the series' finale. In an interview with Capital FM, she disclosed that she knows the outcome of her character's journey in the final season.
"I haven’t read the end. I know what happens to my character because I kind of forced myself into the writers room/ Basically, I messaged the directors: ‘Can I come over and have a meeting with you?’. And then I came over, and there was a whiteboard. I just saw my ending and thought, Ohhhhh, and then I walked away very slowly."
Fans have been captivated by Brown's remarks, sparking speculation about the fate of her character. Many users have openly shared their fears, expressing concerns that her character may not have a happy ending in the final season.
Earlier Millie Bobby Brown also revealed that the filming will continue for another nine months. The actress appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show and provided an update on the production of season 5. She said,
"We have nine months left... I really like Netflix, I'd like to be employed by them for a really long time, because I sign a piece of paper that tells me I'm not allowed to say anything, and I think I owe it to them to keep my mouth shut... I know what happens to my character. I haven't read the script because they are in the process of writing them. I think I read up to episode 6. I know what happens to my character.... But like I said, I like working for Netflix, I'm going to be a good girl."
