The much-beloved writer praised the Stranger Things character as he wrote on Twitter, “I love that slimy, slinky Russian guy Yuri,” King wrote. “He deserves his own show. Like BARRY, only Russian.”

In season 4, Yuri is the middleman in a deal between Joyce and a prison guard named Enzo. He is tasked with helping Hopper in his escape from a Russian prison camp. Despite his limited screen time, the actor seems to have impressed the fans.

It is no secret that Stephen King himself is a big fan of Stranger Things. The writer liked Season 4 however he complained that the last two episodes are still not out yet. He tweeted on Wednesday,

“The new season of STRANGER THINGS is really cool–as good or better than the previous three. There’s even a CARRIE riff. Is it the whole season or is it another one of those that’s broken into 2 parts? IMHO that’s kind of lame.”

The first seven episodes of Stranger Things season 4 arrived on May 27. The remaining two episodes from the two-part season will land on July 1.
