Bring Eddie Munson Back: 75000 People Have Signed the Petition

Eddie Munson has rocked the whole world, now the whole world wants more Eddie Munson.

By now, most of you have more than likely seen the petition taking the world by storm from Stranger Things fans in hopes to bring an epic, completely raw, infectious character back from the dead. It’s crystal clear to see Eddie Munson, has rocked and is continuing to rock the world. The petition was started a mere 2 weeks ago (when Volume 2 dropped) on Change.org by a fan, to bring back the newly introduced, wrongly killed character: Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson.

Fans urge the writers and producers to bring him back in Season 5 which is due to be released in 2024. Alongside his death there was also another huge ‘death’, which was that of Max Mayfields; yet it’s fair to say, although Max is a well loved and major character in the stranger things series, Eddie’s death was the real shocker, and it was undeniably devastating… and we don’t believe that the Duffer Brothers realised it was going to play out this way. Eddie’s predictable, but unsatisfactory death overshadowed Max’s death and the world is mad about it.

Eddie Munson, portrayed by the brilliant and talented Joseph Quinn, quickly became a fan-favourite in less than a season, rumoured to have had only 43 minutes of screen time, and completely stole the show in season 4. Some would go as far as saying, he carried it and season 4 wouldn’t have been as hyped up as it was if it weren’t for him. Eddie, and rightly so, has captured the hearts of people all over the world. Fans not only want justice for Eddie, but they want him back as a regular in season 5 at the very least. After all, there were plenty of plot holes left with this completely unnecessary death, so there is plenty of scope to bring his character back to life. They’ve done it before, they can do it again – cough Hopper.

A spin-off show just for Eddie Munson, delving into his life before, during and after season 4, wouldn’t go a miss either… Duffer Brothers, we’re looking at you.

Not only is Munson loved by fans globally, but the fictional character has also had shoutouts on the big screen at huge band shows such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Twenty One Pilots and more. Jack Black, we see you, too!

We are still gathering signatures on the petition and urge fans of Eddie Munson, and Stranger Things, to sign and share it far and wide, in hopes to grasp the attention of the series producers and writers. petition to bring it to Netflix and Duffer Brothers attention. The petition is now sitting at whopping 75,000 signatures, but not for long. The iconic, dungeon master and metal head, resonates with people across the globe and they deserve to revel in his character and what he stands for.

Alongside this petition, fans and artists in have worked to create banners, posters, stickers, digital art and more to promote the petition and spread the love for Eddie Munson.
