It was meant to showcase the cast’s reunion and the good vibes during the filming of season 5. While many fans shared their joy at seeing the cast together, others were not so happy due to the presence of Noah Schnapp.

The 19-year-old actor has been at the center of controversy for quite some time due to his views on the Israel-Palestine conflict. The actor faced heavy criticism for his controversial actions on social media. Many users called out Noah Schnapp for supporting Israel and have accused him of being a zionist. Since the controversy, he has lost over 3 million Instagram followers and continues to receive hate online.

Joe Keery shared some photos on Instagram that also included his Stranger Things cast members like Maya Hawke, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Gaten Matarazzo. The actor captioned the post as,

Stranger Things Cast Faces Backlash For Hanging Out With Noah Schnapp

Some fans have accused Joe Keery, Finn Wolfhard and others of silently supporting Israel and zionism by continuing to associate with Noah Schnapp. The users said that they’re “disappointed but not surprised” that the cast continues to associate with him.

“Imagine being seen smiling next to someone who made light of genocide. They’re all complicit now. Unfollowing all of them,” one user wrote on X.

Another said, “Why do the st cast keep hanging out with Noah Schnapp and other zionist cast members like Sean Levy? It genuinely irks me. As much as I do love them, I can’t defend that. It’s disappointing as hell.”

A third user wrote, “Joe fans saying that Joe most likely wanted a pic of Finn, Sadie & Maya together, forgetting Noah was there, so accidentally posted one with Noah Schnapp in it. Firstly, Joe is 31, not 101, Secondly, Joe deleted all the nasty comments about Noah on his Insta… let that sink in.”

Despite the outrage, some users came to defend Schnapp. One said, “Every time the HATERS get proven wrong, they never apologise or admit it. While Joe Keery has not responded to the backlash, he has deleted the hate comments targeted towards Noah Schnapp on his Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Stranger Things season 5 is currently in post-production. Although Netflix has not released any promotional content yet, several major leaks have surfaced online for season 5. The first official teaser for the final season is expected to drop during the TUDUM event on May 31.
