Noah Schnapp Defends Millie Bobby Brown But Fans Accuse Him of Hypocrisy
Noah Schnapp has defended his Stranger Things co-star Millie Bobby Brown after she became the target of body shaming.
While some fans praised Schnapp for supporting Brown, others accused him of hypocrisy due to his vocal support of Israel. This has reignited the whole controversy surrounding the actor, who continues to face criticism online.
Noah Schnapp Defends Millie Bobby Brown Amid Trolls
Over the past week, Millie Bobby Brown has been the subject of trolls over her appearance. Several media outlets also criticized her looks and published headlines that many fans found mocking and unnecessary.
In response, Brown fired back at articles that questioned the changes in her appearance. In an Instagram video, she called out headlines such as “What has Millie Bobby Brown done to her face?” and “Millie Bobby Brown mistaken for someone’s mom as she guides younger sister Ava through LA” and labelled it as bullying disguised as journalism.
Following the backlash, Noah Schnapp also came to Millie Bobby Brown’s defence. He shared an Instagram story where he wrote,
“Can we stop shaming women for their appearance? It’s hard enough to be our own worst critic, and facing that judgment on a public scale only makes it worse. Millie is growing into herself beautifully. As a community, we need to do better. Real people are affected by the words we type. No one needs to change what they look like, what really needs to change is the way we treat one another.”
Noah Schnapp Gets Called Out For Hypocrisy
While the actor was praised by his fans on social media for standing up against online bullying, many others accused him of hypocrisy due to his past statements and actions regarding Israel.
For those unfamiliar, Schnapp has been at the center of controversy for his vocal support of Israel. Last year, he was seen promoting stickers in a video that contained phrases like “Zionism is Sexy”. Since then, the actor has been a frequent target of online backlash.
Now with his latest comments on Millie Bobby Brown, the controversy has flared up again. Critics took to social media to call him out, with one user tweeting: “hey chat does defending your friend erase your several trips to israel and general zionism”.
This tweet has over 150k likes and has been viewed by approx 3 million users.

Another added, “supporting an entity that is colonial, wearing stickers on your forehead of ‘zionism is sexy’ apologizing when the show you were apart of was getting boycotted and refusing to acknowledge that israel is an apartheid does in fact make you a monster. two wrongs don’t make a right.”

One user defended Schnapp, arguing that much of the outrage was based on misinformation:
“The quotes here are diabolical&scary; you all literally believe everything said to you. No one even knows what Noah Schnapp actually said and when confronted they get loud AF. Loud doesn’t mean right. You’re all screwed—why do you think the silent crowd keeps winning politically?”
