Eddie Munson Will Return as Camazotz

Netflix has released a video where they announced the episode titles for season 5. The sixth episode is titled “The Escape from Camazotz” which has left fans speculating about its meaning.

Camazotz is a bat spirit in Mayan mythology and translates to “death bat”. Stranger Things fans were quick to connect this mythical creature with Eddie Munson who was tragically killed by demobats in season 4.

A new Stranger Things theory says that Eddie Munson might have transformed into Camazotz upon his death. Camazotz is associated with death and sacrifice which makes sense as Eddie gave his life to save Hawkins.

According to this theory, Eddie Munson will return as Camazotz in season 5 and will play a crucial role in defeating Vecna.

Stranger Things 5 Will Explore Dimension X

Fans have speculated that the episode 6 title is most definitely a reference to the classic novel “A Wrinkle in Time”. In the book, Camazotz is a planet on which inhabitants are controlled by a powerful entity referred to as “IT”.

It is most likely that the Stranger Things boys have nicknamed Dimension X as Camazotz. This theory is further supported by a BTS image from season 5 that featured a copy of “A Wrinkle in Time”.

Hence Stranger Things 5 will introduce Dimension X in episode 6 and will explore its connection with the Upside Down.

Will Eddie Munson Return in Season 5?
