Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has finally cleared the air about whether he is single, putting months of speculation to rest in a new interview.

For a long time, fans have been curious about Wolfhard’s relationship status. The actor has always personal life away from the spotlight but that hasn’t stopped people from guessing whether he was dating someone. Now, fans have finally found their answer.

Is Finn Wolfhard Single?

During a recent conversation with Variety, Finn Wolfhard revealed that he is currently single and it is by choice.

“I’m single and I feel like that’s something that I’m also kind of thinking about right now, is this is the time kind of where I have been doing the most work kind of in my life. So I feel like it’s been kind of … Maybe it’s been subconsciously deliberate to not have a committed partner.”

Wolfhard also made it clear that he doesn’t feel any pressure to date just because of his age.

“Just because I’m 22, I don’t really want to put my … Also considering how … At the rate that I’m traveling all the time and working and stuff, I just feel like it’s not the time to do that.”

Given that Wolfhard will be busy with Stranger Things 5 promotions in the next few months, his decision makes sense. The final season will release in three parts, with Volume 1 releasing on November 26, followed by Volume 2 on Christmas and Volume 3 on New Year’s Eve. With such a packed calendar, focusing on his career seems like the logical choice.

Who was Finn Wolfhard’s ex-girlfriend Elsie Richter?

Before this announcement, the actor was dating actress Elsie Richter. Elsie Richter is the daughter of English actress Dolly Wells. Richter is also an actress and is best known for her role in the 2013 HBO series Doll & Em.

The pair first sparked dating rumors in March 2021 when they were spotted attending an NBA game together. Their relationship gained more traction when Wolfhard shared and later deleted a blurry close-up photo of the two of them smiling together.

However, their relationship had its challenges. In a 2021 interview with The Washington Post, Wolfhard revealed that he was pressured by a fan to confirm his relationship with Richter.

According to him, the fan threatened to leak Richter’s address if he didn’t make their relationship public.. He recalled the fan’s response after he complied.

“They’re like, ‘Oh, okay, I’m so sorry. We love her. It’s almost like a trance or something. Maybe it’s a power thing.”

Now, with his latest comments, it’s clear that the two have gone their separate ways. And given his experiences, Wolfhard’s decision to guard his personal life makes complete sense.
