Stranger Things Season 5 plans made Netflix executives cry
Stranger Things returned for the much anticipated season 4 last week with a second part arriving on 1 July.
But the show’s creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer have already made plans for season 5. As earlier announced, this will be the final season of the show. And according to The Wrap, the pitch for it apparently made Netflix executives cry.
“We do have an outline for Season 5 and we pitched it to Netflix and they really responded well to it,” said Matt. “I mean, it was hard. It’s the end of the story. I saw executives crying who I’ve never seen cry before and it was wild.”
“And it’s not just to do with the story, just the fact that it’s like, ‘Oh my God, this thing that has defined so many of our lives, these Netflix people who has been with us from the beginning, seven years now’, and it’s hard to imagine the journey coming to an end,” he added.
They also compared the final season to Return of the Jedi. “I don’t think it’ll be as long, though. And the main reason I’m saying that, I’ll probably be proven wrong, but, is that in terms of … The final few is going to be more like a “Return of the Jedi” in that …”
“They’re going from the beginning. There’s going to be less ramp-up. And I think people will understand what I’m talking about when they see the end of this season,” said Matt.
Ross added: “Normally it’s like, ‘Oh, we get to revisit the characters in their normal lives and how they’re doing and what are their relationships like?’ And 5 is just going to be pedal to the metal from the opening scene. At least that’s what I remember from the outline.”

I have never been emotionally connected to a show on this level, ever. This is seriously the best show. So sad it’s coming to an end soon😭. I’m already not mentally ready for season 5. Can NOT wait for 4 volume 2!😖

I’m expecting someone to die in the Season 4 finale for sure. I just wish it was very emotional and epic. I wish season five was like a big epic final battle full of emotion.

Season 4 is pure greatness!!

I love the series and wish they would continue by telling the story of others like El. There has to be other children who have powers like hers and were abandoned because “Papa” concentrated only on her. Anyway, I look forward to July 1st!!!

I have a feeling that some bad things will happen in season 5, maybe S4 volume 2 will be a prelude… Hope El won’t die! If Mike finally confessess love to El straight to her face, I’m good 🙂
I wish they do at least 11 seasons… But I understand it is better to end show at it’s glory than when viewers are 15 years older when they first started watching.

Hi strange freak! I actually had early access to season 4 vol. 2 and I wanted to confirm some of your suspicions. Something bad does happen in vol. 2, but it’s not what you expect. Mike actually confesses his love to Will after Will showed him the greek gay painting of them both holding hands that he so lovely painted. After that happened everyone just died. Sorry Mike didn’t confess to El! Best regards!!

They were crying because they don’t have any other shows to keep Netflix accounts from unsubscribing when it ends

Hi Justin! To clarify what you meant, you finished vol. 1 of season 4; you did not finish season 4 because season 4 simply has not ended. I wish you well as you take this information in.
Kenni

I wish there could be a Season 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and so on and so on. This has to be the BEST series I’ve EVER watched!!! Oh, I’m also over 70 years old!!!
you’re mom
Listen here Gail, I understand where you’re coming from when saying that stranger things is the best show you’ve ever watched. However, I’m in disbelief that you’re 70 years-old, and able to understand the concept of the internet. ps. this is not fast and furious
