It is expected that Eleven will be confronting Vecna in the final season given she is the main protagonist. But there is one character who could unexpectedly become significant to the story and could be very helpful in battling Vecna.

What Happens to Victor Creel in Stranger Things?

Victor Creel the lone survivor of the Creel family, made a brief but memorable cameo in season 4. Played by horror iconic Robert Englund, Victor’s connection to the Vecna could hint at a larger role in the series’ conclusion.

In 1959, Victor Creel was imprisoned for killing his wife Virginia and his daughter Alice, also putting his son Henry Creel into a coma. Fast forward to 1986, and Victor Creel is still imprisoned. He still claims no responsibility for the killings and blames it on a demonic force.

In season 4, Nancy Wheeler and Robin Buckley visited Victor Creel, disguised as students. He revealed to them that Vecna’s curse could be stopped by listening to music. This is how he survived the curse by listening to “Dream a Little Dream of Me”.

This revelation ultimately saved Max Mayfield when she was targetted by Vecna, thanks to Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill. Despite his brief appearance, Victor Creel’s information was pivotal to the plot of Stranger Things.

Victor Creel Could Be the Key to Defeating Vecna

Given his survival in season 4, it’s plausible that Victor Creel could play a more prominent role in the final season. He is the only living person in Hawkins who has a personal connection with Vecna. He is also the sole surviving victim of Vecna, apart from Max who is in a coma. Nancy and Robin were able to extract valuable information from Victor Creel into Vecna’s weakness. It’s possible that he has more knowledge that could aid the Hawkins gang.

There is also potential that Vecna will attempt to finish what he started in 1959 by going after his father Victor.

Victor Creel’s journey will come full circle as he discovers what really happened to his family and plays a pivotal role in defeating Vecna. In the end, he might peace knowing he helped stop the evil that destroyed his life.

Besides Victor, there is another minor character who could be crucial in bringing down Vecna. Patty Newby is introduced as the girlfriend of Henry Creel in Stranger Things: The First Shadow. As per one mind-blowing theory, she might be more important than seems.

The play revealed that Patty Newby left Hawkins in 1959 after Henry Creel killed his family. It is possible that she knows some of Vecna’s secrets, given the time they spent together.
