Stranger Things Season 5 Release Year and Episode Titles Confirmed
This is big news for Stranger Things fans: Netflix has finally confirmed the release year and episode titles for the highly anticipated final season.
Today, fans are celebrating Stranger Things Day all around the world. They were anticipating some new updates from the creators for the final season, and Netflix has not disappointed.
Stranger Things Season 5 Release Date
On the occasion of Stranger Things Day, Netflix has uploaded an announcement video for season 5 on social media. It has finally confirmed that Stranger Things Season 5 will be released in 2025.
This means that there will be a 3 years gap between the last two seasons. Though it might seem a bit far, it is still welcome news as the production was halted due to SAG-AFTRA and WAG strikes.
Earlier Netflix CEO had also revealed that Stranger Things 5 will be released in 2025. However, it is still unknown if Netflix will divide it into two parts like season 4.

Lately, Netflix has a tradition of releasing new seasons in two volumes to ensure the timely release of new content. This strategy is likely to be applied to Stranger Things as we can expect Volume 1 in Summer 2025 and Volume 2 in Fall 2025.

In addition to the release date, Netflix has also revealed the episode titles for season 5. Without wasting any time, let’s take a look.

The episode titles align with those leaked earlier in August 2024. However, the titles for the last two episodes were not revealed during the leak so that’s some brand new information.

The last episode is titled “The Rightside Up,” signaling that Netflix has come full circle, as the final episode of season 1 was titled “The Upside Down.” It suggests a symbolic return to normalcy, hinting at a possible resolution to the chaos that began in Hawkins.
Stranger Things Season 5 Setting
It has also been confirmed that the final season will take place in the fall of 1987. This means that there will be around 1 and a half-year time jump since season 4.
While the fall usually encompasses autumn, this season might be extended into December. The final scene could potentially be around Christmas as there were some set leaks that suggested the same.
