Just yesterday, fans noticed that Netflix South Africa’s Instagram account liked a post claiming that the season 5 trailer would be released on July 15.

Today, the moment has arrived as the Stranger Things season poster has been officially revealed. This date is special as it also marks the 9th anniversary of Stranger Things, which first premiered in 2016. Releasing the poster on this anniversary feels like a symbolic send-off for the beloved series.

Stranger Things 5 Trailer to Drop Tomorrow

Netflix has also announced that the official trailer will be released tomorrow, July 16, 2025. It is expected to drop around 7:00 AM Pacific Time.

Earlier reports had suggested a July 15 release, but the creators have instead unveiled the poster and postponed the trailer to tomorrow.

The final season of Stranger Things will premiere in three parts:

• Volume 1: November 26, 2025
• Volume 2: December 25, 2025
• Volume 3: December 31, 2025
