Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp who plays Will Byers in the show, has shown his support for Byler. This will likely strengthen the growing Byler community online

For those who don’t know, Byler refers to the ship of Will Byers and Mike Wheeler getting together. While they are already best friends, some fans ship them romantically since the beginning of the series.

Fans Ship Mike Wheeler and Will Byers

Throughout Stranger Things, it is implied that Will Byers has a crush on his friend Mike Wheeler. However, it seems that Mike does not return these feelings as he is already in a relationship with Eleven. Still, some fans believe that Byler will be the endgame in Stranger Things.

The theory became further popular after Stranger Things dropped many hints in season 4. After watching Volume 1, it was clear that Will Byers has a crush on his best friend.

Noah Schnapp Supports Byler

Now Noah Schnapp has also come forward in support of Byler. In a recent Tweet, the actor wrote: “S4 has me shipping byler over anything… vol. 2 now”

This Tweet came as a surprise to many fans as it was in contrast to the actor’s earlier comments. Schnapp has recently said that he is not sure if Will Byers is actually gay.  In his last interview with Variety, he said,

“I feel like they never really address it or blatantly say how Will is. I think that’s the beauty of it, that it’s just up to the audience’s interpretation, if it’s Will kind of just refusing to grow up and growing up slower than his friends, or if he is really gay.”

He further added that people should not put labels on his characters.

“I find that people do reach to put a label on him and just want to know, so badly, like, ‘Oh, and this is it. He’s just confused and growing up. And that’s what it is to be a kid.”
