Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard just made the wait for Season 5 even harder.

Finn Wolfhard shared what it was like filming the last day of Stranger Things as he shot the grand finale on a stage in the Atlanta studio. His cast members Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke were there even though they wrapped production days earlier.

“I turned around from the monitors, and it was hundreds of people just hanging out for the first time in the same room after 10 years of working. And they were just watching. So if that wasn’t enough of a mindfuck there, it was also like, ‘Wait, that means it’s ending.’”

Finn Wolfhard Teases an Unforgettable Scene in Season 5

Wolfhard also revealed that there is one particularly special scene in season 5.

“There was a moment where there was true joy from everyone because of a moment that happened.”

At that point, he seemed to realize he had said too much and quickly stopped himself from revealing more. He then went on to describe the unforgettable moment:

“When I walked out from doing the scene, it was just one of the greatest moments in my entire life. I didn’t process at the time because it was just so emotional. There was a lot of Champagne.”

According to the interviewer, Finn nearly spoiled that he’s part of the final scene of the series, alongside some of the other kids.

Series co-creator Matt Duffer added some insights into Mike Wheeler’s arc in Season 5, saying that the character steps back into his leadership role

“The way we write these characters is based in small part on the actors themselves. The way Finn has matured into this very confident young man is mirrored in the show and in Season 5 in particular. You see Mike become that leader again that he was in Season 1, but a more mature, confident version.”

“And it’s just been so fun to see Finn sort of tap back into that fearless-leader mode but bringing that more adult maturity to it.”

Could This Be the Final Scene of Stranger Things?

While Wolfhard did not exactly reveal what the special scene is, fans are already speculating online. Fans are arguing whether it could be about Hopper and Joyce’s wedding, Mileven’s proposal scene or Will Byers finally confessing his feelings to Mike.

We think it could be the final scene of Stranger Things 5, where the story wraps up and the kids begin their adult life. We already know there is a monologue in the finale and this scene could be part of it.
