Stranger Things cast is still filming for the much anticipated final season. The new photos from season 5 sets featuring Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo might have provided major clues about the storyline.

Production for Season 5 is nearing completion as the shoot is expected to wrap up by December 20, 2024. Currently, the cast and crew are filming scenes for the final episode.

Yesterday, Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo were spotted filming together in Atlanta, Georgia. The scene which is supposedly set in 1990, appears to show Steve Harrington visiting Dustin Henderson at this new college. In one shot, Steve and Dustin are hanging out near Steve’s truck, with Dustin seemingly poking fun at his choice of vehicle.

Steve Harrington and Dustin Henderson Will Survive Season 5

These new photos from the sets confirm that both Steve and Dustin will survive the final season. Reportedly, the final episode will have a time jump of two years as it is set in 1989. It is also rumored that all four boys, Will Byers, Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson and Lucas Sinclair will graduate from Hawkins High School in the last episode.

Steve’s visit to Dustin’s college reinforces the idea that both these characters will survive the events of season 5. Steve is likely picking up Dustin from college in his new truck during the finale. Another notable detail is Dustin’s new bat tattoos, which fans believe are a tribute to his late friend Eddie Munson.

Earlier photos of Mike Wheeler and Jim Hopper from season 5 sets were also leaked. Apparently, they were filming a very emotional and heartbreaking scene for the final episode. Fans speculated that Hopper was consoling Mike after a tragic event, possibly the death of Eleven.
