September 1, 2024

Noah Schnapp has been under fire for his controversial actions on social media amid the Israel- Palestine conflict. While there have been calls to boycott the actor, he has finally addressed the ongoing controversy in a new TikTok video.

Back in October 2023, the Stranger Things star shared a statement supporting Israel. Later he was seen in a video promoting stickers that contained phrases like “Zionism is Sexy” and “Hamas is ISIS”. Since then he has been facing huge backlash on the internet as he has lost more than 1 million followers on Instagram.

Some Stranger Things fans also demanded the actor be replaced in the final season. However, Netflix decided to keep the actor on board which has angered many fans. Now that the production for the final season is going on, Schnapp has finally responded to the controversy.

Noah Schnapp Addresses the Controversy

The actor said on TikTok, “I just wanted to come on here super briefly just to discuss everything that’s been going on online. I feel like my thoughts and beliefs have been so far misconstrued from anything even close to what I believe, and I wanted to just state from my heart how I feel. I only want peace and safety and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict.”

He also revealed that he has many conversations with friends from Palestine. “I only want peace and safety and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict. I’ve had many open discussions with friends of Palestinian backgrounds. One of the takeaways I’ve had is that we all hope for the same things, which is that those innocent people still being held hostage in Gaza to be returned to their families and equally hope for an end of the loss of innocent life in Palestine. I think anyone with any ounce of humanity would hope for an end to the hostility on both sides. I stand against any killing of any innocent people, and I hope you guys all do too.”

The actor concluded the video with hoping that both groups would be able to live together harmoniously. “I hope for 2024 online for people to be a little more understanding and compassionate and recognize that we’re all human regardless of our race, of our ethnicity, of our background, of our country of birth, of even our sexuality — of anything,” Schnapp concluded. “We are all human and we’re all the same. We should all love each other for that and support each other and stand together for humanity and for peace.”

The video was not received well by many fans who took to the comments section and called for a boycott. Later Schnapp disabled the comments section entirely.

Sorry, but Schapp said that people who don’t support Israel support terrorism. That was not misconstrued — and trying to pretend that its OUR fault for not understanding what he so clearly meant is grossly dishonest.

And Schapp didn’t apologize for spreading the lie about “40 beheaded babies”.

He can’t even call for a ceasefire, or acknowledge the slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinian non-combatants.

IOW, this was not a sincere apology — it was an attempt at damage control by a racist who clearly still supports Israel’s campaign of genocide & ethnic cleansing. And its not working
