Stranger Things Season 5 Teaser Shown to Journalists: Key Reveals
Stranger Things season 5 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated TV events in recent memory. Despite the lack of content from Netflix, the excitement continues to build with each passing day.
But fans won’t have to wait much longer for a sneak peek. Netflix has finally released the first official poster for season 5 and that’s not all—they’ve also shown exclusive footage to select journalists. The footage has revealed key moments from the upcoming season.
Netflix Showcases Stranger Things Season 5 Footage
As previously reported, Netflix held its Next on Netflix event today. At the event, they previewed footage from the upcoming titles and Stranger Things 5 was among them. Behind closed doors, the Duffer Brothers shared an exclusive clip from the final season.
Disclaimer: This footage was shown only to journalists and is not available for the public at the time. Potential spoilers follow for Stranger Things season 5.
Now, let’s break down what was revealed in the footage from the final season.
Vecna’s Return, Max Running and Demodogs Comeback
According to the reporters, the Stranger Things 5 teaser showed the return of Vecna who has recovered from the injuries that he sustained during the season 4 finale. Max makes a brief appearance as she is seen running through The Void.
In another shot, Jim Hopper is brandishing a shotgun. Meanwhile, demodogs from season 2 seem to have returned. Several characters are shown meeting Jake Connelly’s mysterious new character and Dustin was seen wearing a new cap.
It also features a shot of a stained glass window at the Creel house. Additionally, the promo provided the first look at Linda Hamilton, who appears in a military uniform.
Eleven is Hiding in Stranger Things 5
One of the more cryptic moments in the footage features Eleven wearing oversized clothes to apparently disguise herself. This aligns with the first official poster for season 5, which states that Eleven is missing. But the bigger question remains: Who is she hiding from? Is it the government? Or is it someone else?
The new clip was played alongside audio of a conversation between Mike and Eleven. In the clip Mike reassures her saying that they’ll finish this fight together. In one scene Eleven can be heard saying “they don’t get to write the ending, but we do”.

Will Byers is in the Upside Down Again
Stranger Things 5 footage also showed a character screaming in the Upside Down. While it was not clear, some viewers thought it was Will Byers—potentially targeted by Vecna once again.
Behind-the-scenes photos and videos have hinted that we might revisit the moment when Will was first taken to the Upside Down. One bold theory even suggests that Stranger Things 5 could involve a time reversal to save Will Byers.
Although the teaser hasn’t been made public yet, these early details are already sending fans into a frenzy. We can only imagine the reaction when the official teaser drops. Netflix better hurry!
