Stranger Things 5 Production Has Officially Begun

January 9, 2024

Finally, the great news is here for Stranger Things fans. The production for the final season has officially begun.

The filming was delayed due to the dual strikes of writers and actors last year as it was set to begin in June 2023. After the strikes were resolved, the production team was busy with the pre-filming procedure which took about a couple of months. The makers did the final table read in December last year and after they took a break due to the holiday season.

But now the cast of Stranger Things is back on the sets as the production has officially begun. The official account of Stranger Things made the announcement on social media by sharing a photo from the sets. It features series creators Matt and Ross Duffer in a room filled with the cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Brett Gelman, and Priah Ferguson.

They captioned the picture as “THIS IS A CODE RED STRANGER THINGS 5 production has officially begun!!!”

While the production has begun, it might take some days before the full-fledged filming will begin. They will have to do the table read for the last two episodes and then there will be costume fittings for the final season. Earlier it was reported that Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton and Natalia Dyer did shoot for some scenes in Atlanta.
