Stranger Things fans are speculating that there is a possible feud between Millie Bobby Brown and Winona Ryder.

The Netflix series featured established actors Winona Ryder and David Harbour, but it also introduced a new generation of young actors. After season 1 became a global sensation, all the kids on the show shot to fame. However, it was Millie Bobby Brown who quickly became one of the most in-demand actresses in the industry.

Did Winona Ryder Shade Millie Bobby Brown?

Recently some fans have claimed that there might be a beef between Winona and Brown. This speculation started after Winona showed frustration in an interview with the Los Angeles Times about how young actors seem less interested in films.

“The first thing they say is, ‘How long is it?’… I just think there was such an abundance: the history of film, the history of photography, it’s so rich, and there’s so much there, and I don’t mean we should go backwards, but I wish and I hope that the younger generation will study that.”

Although Winona did not name anyone specifically, fans were quick to connect her comments to Millie Bobby Brown.

In a previous interview with The Sun, Brown mentioned that she does not watch movies.

“I don’t watch movies. People come up to me and say, ‘You should definitely watch this movie, it would change your life. And I’m like, ‘How long do I have to sit there for?’ Because my brain and I don’t even like sitting for my own movies.”

Naturally, many fans perceived that Winona’s comments were a subtle jab at Millie.

Winona Ryder Skips Millie Bobby Brown in New Statement

The speculations gained more traction after Winona seemingly sidelined Brown in an interview with Esquire. In her interview, she was asked about Stranger Things and the actress replied,

“It’s nuts, and its extra nuts to be my age,’ she began, adding. ‘But I love the boys and I love Sadie [Sink] and Maya [Hawke]. It’s been really wonderful.”

One name missing from the list was Millie Bobby Brown which some fans took as a sign of a rift between the two actresses.
