David Harbour Reveals His Favorite Season 4 Fan Theory

June 26, 2022

Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 is set to release in a few days. In the meantime, actor David Harbour (Hopper) has revealed his favorite fan theory about the show’s fourth season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harbour shared the season 4 theory that impressed him the most. “There was one [theory] that Hopper actually did die last season, and they cloned him in Russia, and this season I’m going to be the bad guy,” he said. “The Vecna character and I are linked in some way. It’s totally wrong, but I like it.”

Harbour has also said that Stranger Things season 4 is a masterpiece and the finale will blow you away. “It’s a masterpiece, it’s beautiful, it’s epic… but it’s also on a scale and a scope that almost gets silly and it’s like wondrous, almost manga-esque… You’re going to be blown away.”

While fans continue to guess about season 4 volume 2, the show’s co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer recently have warned fans that Stranger Things Season 4 doesn’t have a happy ending. “Usually at the end of a season, we tie things up with a nice bow, before a little tease that says, ‘Hold on, something is unraveling,’” Matt Duffer explained. “As we move into Season 5, we don’t have to do that. There won’t be a reset from where we finish this season.”
